12 Easter Egg Scavenger Hunt Clues for Your Kitchen

Easter Sunday is a magical day. For many, it’s a religious celebration, an excuse for family fun… a valid time to convince your kids that a giant rabbit has broken into your house and left chocolate deposits in all the cupboards.

Regardless of how bonkers it sounds, everyone loves a good Easter egg scavenger hunt. It’s the most popular Easter game.

If you’re a parent, you might disagree, being expected to come up with clues for the kiddies. Don’t worry, though. This year your friends at Masterclass Kitchens® have you covered. Indeed, we’ve come up with a series of riddles that are:

Simple enough for kids to solve
Also tricky enough to entertain adults

In true Masterclass style, we’ve focused our Easter hunt clues on the kitchen. Of course, we’ll point out cool kitchen features along the way—a tall drinks cabinet you can use to enjoy an Easter cocktail, for example—but don’t hold that against us.

How the Game Works

The rules are simple. Basically, there are 12 clues, 12 answers, and set-up should only take five minutes. Simply copy the upcoming clues into a Word document, print them and hand one to your little ones (or big ones if you’re all adults that love treasure hunt riddles).

After that, place a chocolate egg and the next clue in a location that matches the answer… and so on. The order doesn’t matter as long as each upcoming location matches the current clue. Say, for instance, the answer to Clue 1 is “sink.” Hide an egg in the sink, alongside Clue 2, which leads players to another egg and Clue 3. Follow this pattern until you hit the final clue then a grand chocolate prize.

Here are your first four clues:

CLUE: I'm always ticked off but never get angry because I count to 12.

ANSWER: Clock

CLUE: I can be big. I can be little. I’ll cuddle you in bed. What am I?

ANSWER: Spoon

CLUE: I give you that feeling, like you've just seen a hole in your boat.

ANSWER: Sink

CLUE: Whenever I dry, I only get wetter.

ANSWER: Towel
